So if you think it’s hard explaining that to your parents now, imagine what he went through back in the year 2000.
Jason Mercier, one of the most successful young poker pros in the world and a native Floridian. The Heat lost by three points in a down-to-the-wire game, so Mercier’s expression was probably a lot more sullen a few seconds after this photo was taken.
WSOP Media Director Nolan Dalla has been known to make a sports bet or two. It's a good bet he had something riding on this game.
Johnny “World” Hennigan is one of the most notorious gamblers in poker. He got his nickname because he will bet on anything in the world, including NBA finals. His bets on this game are likely bigger than the $10k he’s got invested in the poker tournament.
