Lamb Looks for Lead in 2011 WSOP Player of the Year Race

Phil Hellmuth also had an impressive WSOP with five cashes, three second-place finishes and $1.5 million in profit.

Hellmuth, however, is not still in the Main Event while Lamb very much is.

If Lamb can survive to 138 players remaining, he will officially pass Hellmuth in the 2011 Player of the Year.

Keep in mind that this year's results from the World Series of Poker Europe in France will be included in Player of the Year consideration so this battle could continue until October.

Either way it’s been an exceptional race between the two skilled pros.
